Good Friday Concert

7.15pm  25 March 2016 Good Friday Concert, Christchurch, Carmarthen 

A warm and appreciative audience experienced the essence of Good Friday with the music performed at this concert by John S Davies and his ‘Singers.’ In the first half Stainer’s Crucifixion provided us with both sadness and pathos in the music which included  both the reflective and the dramatic. Paul Badley tenor and Tom Hunt baritone were exemplary in their solo work and their duet was a moving highlight of the work.The carefully chosen sacred pieces in the second half were sensitively performed by the choir and prepared us well and appropriately for the Easter Day celebrations.
